Race or Rally driver, which is quickest?

"Racing drivers are just roundy, roundy blokes. They see the same patch of tarmac hundreds of times in a weekend, so they bloody well should be quick. There's no trees or cliffs to fall off, bloody prima-donnas"

 

"Rally drivers? They've got a bloke in the passenger seat telling them where to go. They rarely go above 120 mph and they never use cars with aerodynamic grip, so what's the big deal?"

As someone who has high opinions of such disparate drivers as Jim Clark, Henri Toivanen and Gigi Galli, you can guarantee to get a response if you ask Andrew.....
